Rules for the Lövsta Future Challenge Young Horses 2025

Here are the rules for the 2025 season

$25,000 LÖVSTA FUTURE CHALLENGE 7 YEAR OLD

DEVELOPING JUMPER SERIES FINAL

ENTRY FEE: $500

Open to horses that are 7 Years old or foaled in 2018 that are in the Top 25 in class 1021 on March 12 based on the following criteria:

WEF 3 to WEF 9

Fence height 1.30m to 1.35m speed 350 m/min. Open water may be offered. No Nomination Fee for this Section. Horses competing in classes restricted to 7-year-old may not have ever competed in Open Jumper Classes offering $25,000 or more in prize money.

This Section qualifies horses for the $25,000 Lövsta Future Challenge 7-year-old Final to be held on WEF 10. Qualification will be based on class 1023 each week on WEF 3 to WEF 9.

To be eligible to compete in class #1021 qualifier on March 12, 2025 the horse must have competed a minimum of 2 times in class 1023 (WEF 3-9), and completed 2 clear rounds in the first round of class 1023 (WEF 3-9). Horses may compete in class 1023 a maximum of 5 times between WEF 3 and WEF 9. The final will consist of two classes: A qualifying class #1021 on March 12 at 1.30m, the top 25 will qualify for the final class #83 at 1.35 on March 14, 2025. The qualifier and the final are restricted to eligible horses as described in this section. Declarations to compete must be made no later than 4:00 P.M. on March 12. In the case of scratches or withdraws, substitutions for the next qualified horse may be accepted by management discretion up until 1 hour from the start of the competition in order to accommodate a maximum of 25 competitors in class #83. All other 7yo horses that are not qualified are eligible to compete in class #84.

Horses will be required to be stabled on grounds. Check in will be on Thursday March 13, 2025 from 9:00 A.M. to 10 A.M. at the back of Exhibitor Services

Declarations received after 4:00 P.M. will be accepted at management’s discretion.

The final will consist of two classes a qualifying class at 1.30m and the final at 1.35m the warm up and the final are restricted to eligible horses as above.

Prize Money: $7,500, $5,500, $3,250, $2,000, $1,500, $1,250, $1,000, $750, $750, $500, $500, $500

Any placing not awarded will have the prize money redistributed to those placings awarded.

CONSOLATION ROUND

ENTRY FEE: $260

Open to all Seven year olds not qualified to compete in class #83 on March 14, 2025.

Fence height 1.30m to 1.35m speed 350 m/min. Open water may be offered. No Nomination Fee for this Section. Horses competing in classes restricted to 7-year-old may not have ever competed in Open Jumper Classes offering $25,000 or more in prize money.

Prize Money: $1,600, $1,100, $700, $550, $300, $250, $250, $250, Any placing not awarded will have the prize money redistributed to those placings awarded.
