Lövsta Future Challenge and LGCT Stockholm are proud to announce their continued partnership in promoting the future stars of equestrian sport. The prestigious event, set to take place on June 16-18 at Stockholm Olympic Stadium, will feature an exciting international expansion for 7-year-old horses.

"Our young riders and young horses are the future of our sport, it's crucial to provide them with opportunities to gain inspiration, experience, and exposure at top-level international competitions. That's why we're thrilled to open up our international competition to young horses on the historic Stadion when Stockholm is at its most stunning!" says Antonia Ax:son Johnson, founder of Lövsta Future Challenge.

In collaboration with Stockholm Horse Week, Lövsta Future Challenge will organize international classes for both young horses and U25 riders, offering a unique chance for 7-year-old horses and U25-riders to gain invaluable experience in an international environment.

Premiere of Lövsta Future Challenge International Young Horses

The classes for 7-year-old horses have become a much-appreciated part of LGCT Stockholm among riders, horse owners, breeders, and spectators, making it a natural continuation for 2023. During this year's event, 30 horses will compete in the Lövsta Future International Young Horses, with 20 spots offered to riders participating in the five-star classes over the weekend, and 10 spots selected by the Swedish national team management. The selection will be based on the results and development potential of the horse-rider combinations in international competitions, emphasizing their developmental opportunities.

The worlds highest ranked U25 Riders return to Stockholm Olympic Stadium

In this year's edition of Lövsta Future Challenge International U25, twenty-two of the highest-ranked U25 riders in the world will be invited, with four spots reserved for Swedish riders.

- "It means a lot to get routine from the big arenas early on. Lövsta Future Challenge International now gives us the opportunity to offer invaluable experiences for our young promising riders as well as horses. It will be exciting to both select the riders and horses and to see them compete in such a prestigious international environment as LGCT Stockholm" says Henrik Ankarcrona, head coach of the Swedish jumping team.

The event will bring together the world's best riders in Stockholm, competing individually in the prestigious Longines Global Champions Tour and the team competition Global Champions League. Stockholm Horse Week adds to the program, and the partnership with Lövsta Future Challenge aligns perfectly with the organizer's vision of being an event focused on young talents and top-level sport.
