Lövsta Future Challenge and LGCT Stockholm with Stockholm Horse Week are thrilled to announce a continued collaboration to support the stars of tomorrow in equestrian sports. The prestigious event, taking place on June 28-30 at Stockholm Stadion, will once again feature international classes for both U25 riders and 7-year-old jumping horses.

"- Today's young horses and riders are the future of equestrian sports. It's crucial that they get the opportunity to be inspired and gain experience at top-level international competitions. That's why we are so excited to, together with GCT and SHW, open the doors to the historic Stockholm Stadion for these groups - especially when Stockholm is at its most beautiful!" says Antonia Ax:son Johnson, owner of Lövsta Stud and founder of Lövsta Future Challenge.

Continuation of Lövsta Future Challenge International Young Horses

The classes for seven-year-old horses have been embraced with so much enthusiasm at LGCT Stockholm by riders, horse owners, breeders, and the audience, making their continuation an obvious choice.

A total of 30 horses will compete in the Lövsta Future Challenge International Young Horses, with twenty spots offered to riders competing in the five-star classes during the weekend and ten spots selected by the Swedish National Federation and awarded to Swedish based horses.

Selection is based on the horses results and their ability to consistently perform well in internationally recognized competitions, with particular emphasis on the horses development potential.

A new feature for 2024 is that the three highest-placed horses in Sunday's class (selected by the Swedish national federation) will receive a ticket to the international 7-year-old final at Falsterbo Horse Show on July 11-14. A prerequisite is that the horses must be registered and qualified for the Horseware 7-Year-Old Championship according to the series regulations.

The world's highest-ranked U25 riders return to the Stadion

In this year's edition of Lövsta Future Challenge International U25, twenty-two of the world's highest-ranked U25 riders will be invited, with four spots reserved for Swedish riders.

"It means a lot to gain early experience from the big arenas. Lövsta Future Challenge International provides us with the opportunity to offer invaluable experiences for both our young promising riders and horses. It will be exciting to select the pairs and to see them compete in such a prestigious international environment as LGCT Stockholm," says Henrik Ankarcrona, Chef Déquipe Sweden.

The competitions gather the world's best riders in Stockholm to compete individually in the prestigious tour Longines Global Champions Tour and the team event Global Champions League. Stockholm Horse Week complements the program, and the collaboration with Lövsta Future Challenge aligns perfectly with the organizer's vision of being an event focused on young talents and top-level sport.
