World Cup Herning is the first show in the total of three in the concept Lövsta Future Challenge International Tour. The tour creates opportunities for U25 riders to compete in the international arenas where competitions in the FEI Dressage World Cup™ are also held. Each leg consists of a U25 Grand Prix and Grand Prix Freestyle. Winner of the U25 Grand Prix on Friday was German rider Marie Sohler on Quelito (2012,Quaterhall-Fürst Romancier, ownr MelissaGrasser).

- "I´m really happy with my ride today. Quelito was really focused and he is so ambitious . He can be quite spooky at times and we´ve been working on building the trust for this year I´ve had him and it feels like its starting to pay off. This is also my first international U25 show and to be able to ride here in Herning was simply amazing", said Marie after her ride.

Second place went to last years winner, Great Britains Harrison Ashton with Million Dreams (2015,Millenium-Sandro Hit,owner Jesse Honka,Henri Rouste). Third place went to home rider Sophia Boje Obel Jørgensen with KGS. Hoergaard Tabasco (2013, Tailormade Temptation-Weltmeyer, owner Laila Roschmann).
